These role models are blazing trails worldwide!

Worldwide, STEM fields are sorely lacking diversity among students and professionals. Not enough women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups pursue STEM education and careers. At CEF, we’re hoping to change that, with programs that reach a wide variety of students before they have decided on higher education or career plans!

Take a look at how female scientists are leading the charge to change perceptions of who – and what – a STEM professional looks like. From Australian women building the Southern Hemisphere’s first ever underground dark matter detection laboratory, to the “Tech Needs Girls” initiative in Ghana, here are just a few of the women making notable contributions to their field, despite the odds. We can’t wait to see how their work impacts girls all over the world!
