Women are underrepresented in most STEM fields, including chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, and math. Parentage Magazine asked four women who work at the Intelligent Robotics group at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA, how they’re getting their daughters ­ and sons ­ interested in STEM.

Their advice? Introduce them to people who work in STEM careers, connect STEM topics to their interests, talk to them about STEM careers, and help them learn how to pursue challenging goals.
