We’ve conducted several dozen Essential Elements professional development workshops over the past year, and at the end of each workshop, we ask the K-8 educators who attend for detailed feedback. What was the most helpful part of the workshop? What could we improve? What will you bring back to your classroom?

The responses have blown us away. A 3rdgrade teacher in Marietta, GA, wrote: “I loved seeing how handson doesn’t have to be complicated.” An attendee at a Philadelphia workshop said: “Your workshop reminded me of the joy of investigating and originating questions from the students.” And a 2ndgrade educator in Georgetown, SC said that what she had learned would help her students “think like scientists.”
