CEF engages students early to ignite a passion for STEM learning that continues through high school, skilled trades, college, and into the workforce.
Here’s how you can help:
CEF’s flagship program, the Challenge, is a free, fun, team-based STEM competition for 5th-8th graders. Students participate regionally and produce a video to investigate sustainability questions and community-based solutions. The top five teams come together at the National Challenge in Houston, Texas to compete for nearly $50,000 in scholarships.

Your personal donation today will be put to immediate use, helping CEF reach students early on in grades K-8 to ignite an interest in STEM and prepare them to tackle real-world issues.
Each year, more than 150 companies around the world support CEF through charitable donations, sponsorships, community partnerships, and employee volunteerism. Your company’s generosity today will help us reach students early on in grades K-8 to ignite an interest in STEM and prepare them to tackle real-world issues.
One of the simplest charitable giving tools, donor-advised funds (DAF) act much like a private investment account. You can make contributions (and watch them grow tax free), take tax deductions, and direct your DAF to support the charitable causes that you care about!
We rely on the efforts of our volunteers in communities around the country. They are the backbone of our organization, and their dedication to CEF and science education is inspiring. Find out more about how you can join this nationwide team.
