Astronauts receive supplies, science experiments.

After several blocked attempts, U.S. aerospace manufacturer Orbital ATK finally succeeded in docking their Cygnus module on the International Space Station (ISS) yesterday! Containing food, supplies, tanks of nitrogen and oxygen, and an array of science experiments, the module was a welcome sight to the six astronauts living on board the ISS. Beyond the basics, the module’s payload included new jetpacks for space walks, a pair of Microsoft HoloLenses for testing out augmented reality in space, and “experiments that will study the behavior of gases and liquids, clarify the thermo-physical properties of molten steel, and evaluate flame-resistant textiles.” Sounds like every scientist’s wish list!
